!!!! Clematis Plant Help !!!!!?
You have a Clematis Alpina which have small, bell-shaped, mid-blue spring flowers with creamy-white centres, followed by fluffy seed-heads, and mid-green leaves. No routine pruning is necessary. If the spread of the plant needs to be restricted prune immediately after flowering, cutting back overlong shoots to healthy buds. Apply a slow-release balanced fertiliser and a mulch of well-rotted garden compost around the base of the plant in early spring. As for the fluffy stuff - you can either prune them off as above or hope for more strong winds to carry the problem away! Good luck :-)
Reply:Sorry I can't help you with this but it caught my eye.

I was given a climbing clematis as a gift and when I read the plant name on the tag, I couldn't help thinking it sounded like a sexually transmitted disease.

"Did you hear that John caught climbing clematis?"

"Ooh sounds painful"
Reply:Exactly the same thing has happened with my new one, Its absolutely normal although generally it doesnt do that much. Make sure the plants in really good soil and watered regularly otherwise it happens more often and the flowers die really quickly!

Have fun!!
Reply:Its sending out seeds much like a dandilion
